Utilising charred timber and copper, we think this concept really transforms the home. To the rear, we designed an extension to create two additional en suite bedrooms using a matching pallet of materials to bring the whole house together.
This family came to Acre Design because their newly purchased home didn’t fit their lifestyle. They chose to convert their existing garage and create a master suite above, while also extending to the front and side to give a more functional layout to the house.
This young family bought their four bedroom, detached, stone house in the most gorgeous rural setting. Our design will add a large, open-plan kitchen, living and dining area and stunning master en-suite with balcony – looking out onto uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside.
Our teams’ design will dramatically transform this house from a very dated building into a fantastically modern family home with large master en suite on top of the garage and the kids given exactly equal sized bedrooms. There’s also room for home working, an area to exercise, a dog washing area and a spacious utility room.
Matthew and the team worked hard on this stunning extension and loft conversion design in Whitley Bay. Our clients wanted to maximise the sunlight brought into their home and create a space that worked for them and their lifestyle. The build is now nearing completion!
Our clients in North Shields came to us wanting to create: a larger master suite for them, a bigger bedroom for their son, an open-plan downstairs kitchen, dining and living space (replacing a crumbling conservatory) whilst also maintaining a separate living room.
This family purchased a large five-bedroom property in a Gosforth conservation area and wanted the layout to suit their needs better. Working closely with them during our ‘needs and Options Review’ process, we came up with four designs to achieve their open plan kitchen, living and dining area dream.
A home with a view… Our clients’ new home is a dilapidated bungalow situated in one of the most prominent locations in Whitley Bay. We jumped at the opportunity to work with them to squeeze the full potential out of this property in this remarkable beauty spot with uninterrupted sea views.
Our clients – a couple in Darras Hall – are downsizing, but this tired bungalow was a little too small. Our design will provide all the spaces they need including an open plan kitchen and living room, utility room, and en-suite for their master bedroom. Building works are due to start in the next couple of months.
These internal 3D images give a fantastic impression of what our clients’ home will look like once their build is complete. Our design for their extension will bring in plenty of light and give them the open-plan living space they require for their family – they can share the space whilst remaining independent from one another.
This large, three storey, new build home was not suited to the lifestyle of our clients. The chosen design was this modern single Storey rear extension; which will create a large, open plan living, kitchen and dining area. We ensured that the family will be able to enjoy the sunlight and views onto their corner plot as much as possible. Just imagine relaxing in this covered hot tub…
Having purchased this retirement bungalow, our clients wanted to maximise the views over their breathtakingly beautiful back garden. We tried a number of options and this stunning design gave them all of the new space they wanted as well as those vital uninterrupted views! We also carried out cost saving changes to ensure the build will be achieved within their budget.
As with many of our clients, our team have transformed an underused and inefficient conservatory into a modern sunroom for our clients in Whitley Bay. Our design creates a heart for this lovely family home. They will have a much larger living and kitchen space and we can’t wait to see it come to life.
Adding two large bedrooms and a spacious shower room to this barn conversion in Ferryhill, Durham, really enhanced our clients’ home both aesthetically and practically. The timber clad exterior fits in to the rural environment exceptionally well, whilst the refreshing floor to ceiling glazing brings the outside in to their beautiful home.
Our clients in Jesmond wanted to add space. This modern extension was designed to be in keeping with the style of their property. We included a large, spacious, luxurious kitchen, dining area that links seamlessly with their beautiful garden. Light was added at every opportunity to bring their new space to life.
This two storey rear extension utilises timber frame construction to add two additional bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, as well as a grand living, kitchen and dining space to the ground floor. The existing bungalow is too small for our clients and this extension will have a huge impact on their family life.
Here’s our completed modern, single storey rear extension in Blaydon, Gateshead. Our lovely clients are thrilled with their incredible new space, it gives them the room they need for their family and has added a bright, fashionable entertaining area for them with a great connection to their garden.
When we designed this orangery extension for our delightful client in Great Park, Gosforth, we knew it was going to add heaps of character to her already stunning house. The roof lantern really opens up the space and complements her beautiful, bright interior decoration stunningly.
This single storey rear extension that we designed for our clients in Gosforth creates and enormous, beautifully light and lavishly open plan kitchen, dining and living space. The generous glazed panels create panoramic views and open the space out to make it feel even more grand!
