We are the architectural design experts in Newcastle…

We specialise in…

If adding a lot of space and increasing your property’s value is your focus, a two storey extension is a cost-effective solution. Whether you want to add a stunning master bedroom with en-suite, extra rooms for your growing family, a luxuriously spacious kitchen, living and dining area or even an office space, the possibilities are endless.

Love where you live? This is often a cheaper solution than moving house. If you dream of cooking, socialising and relaxing in an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, a single storey extension will provide this valuable space.  We will help you design a space that suits how you want to use your home.

Self Build Homes

Self Build and New Build Homes

If you are looking to build a bungalow or a small estate of homes, we have the capacity and flexibility to help. You pay us on the completion of set stages as laid out in our quote. For example, you may just want to gain planning permission, then that’s all you will pay us for.

Acre Design are specialists in timber frame construction, we have vast experience in building using many construction methods, but we think timber frame offers excellent advantages. The benefits of timber frame construction are numerous, it is easy and  fast to construct, cost-effective and energy efficient.

If you have the head height (we suggest anything above 2.3 metres) at the highest point you will be able to convert your loft. You can create big spaces under permitted development (which means you do not require a planning application). Has your garage been accumulating stuff since the car got too big to fit? Converting these wasted spaces into a separate reception room, dining room, or even opening up to the existing house is a really cost effective way of increasing the size of your home.

Premium Sunrooms & Orangeries

We can help you create a spectacular transitional space between your home and garden. Where conservatories are difficult to heat in winter and keep cool in summer, a sunroom, with fewer glazed elements, is a remarkable alternative. Fortunately for us Brits, sunrooms can be enjoyed all year round and not just when the sun is out!
